2021 Finals Day this Sunday - August 22

Upton to host three finals

This Sunday (August 22) is the league's finals day at Upton Cricket Club.

The first final will be the Development Knockout final at 10.30am between Hayfield and Nantwich 2nd XI. Both teams are in their first year of competitive cricket and have duly made it to the final of this competition for the league's Division 3 and 4 teams, hence one of them will have a trophy success in their first season.

The second match will be the Knockout Final between Didsbury Swordettes - who won this competition in 2017 - and Appleton Tigers - who last won it in 2018.

This will then be followed by the T20 Divisional Final between Didsbury and Oakmere Kats. Didsbury could, of course, be gunning for a T20 double when this match starts. Despite their successes in other competitions over the years, it's perhaps surprising that neither club has so far won this competition, so there will be a new name on the trophy for sure this year.

All matches will take place on Upton's second ground with the men's Cheshire Shield final on the main ground.
