Level 1 to 4 Conduct Offences and the Cheshire club cricket disciplinary process

By Martin Saxon

Everyone is asked to make themselves aware of the Level 1 to 4 conduct offences detailed in Law 42 of the Laws of Cricket. https://www.lords.org/mcc/the-laws-of-cricket/players-conduct.

In Cheshire club cricket, anyone, not just an umpire, is entitled to make a report alleging any of the types of misconduct covered here.

For issues relating to the CWCL, Chris Robinson remains the first point of contact. After the matter has been reported, a formal disciplinary process will commence.

Alleged Level 3 and 4 offences will be handled at a formal hearing, while the Disciplinary Officer will make a ruling on alleged Level 1 and 2 offences based on the available evidence.

It is also important to note that players and team officials can also be reported for conduct off the field of play, including any inappropriate communications on social media.
