CHESHIRE WOMEN’S LEAGUE

Division Three – July 16:

Chester Boughton Hall 2nd XI 50-8 (20; Liv Bell 2-2, Ella Smith 2-9) (3pts)
Stockport Georgians 54-2 (12; Sharon Skade 27*) (25pts)
(Chester performance details not available at present)

Didsbury 2nd XI beat Lymm Oughtrington Park – no further details available at present

Georgians and Didsbury continue to record victories at the top of the table. Were this to continue to the end of the season, the two sides would finish level on points and the title would be decided on net run rate. There will be no crunch match between the two, as they have already played the two league matches in question, with each team winning one match and taking seven losing bonus points from the other.

KNOCKOUT CUPS

Knockout Cup – Quarter Final – July 10:

Oakmere Kats 105-6 (20; Shami Ahmed 28ret, Helen Smith 26ret, Sarah Worsdale 25ret)
Stockport Trinity Fire 106-4 (19; Jennie Kitzinger 26ret, Gaby McKeever 25ret, Kate Skelhorn 2-11)

Trinity overcame their stiff target to power into the semi-finals.

July 13:

Chester Boughton Hall Deemons 123-5 (20; Lorna Starkey 27ret, Ali Cutler 26ret, Hannah Snape 25ret)
Ashton-on-Mersey 83-4 (20; Amanda Gettins 26ret, Mina Khatun 24)

Chester will travel to Trinity for the semi-final, and like their wins in other T20 competitions this year, victory was achieved by batting first and posting a healthy total.
