Clubs invited to nominate players for League XI

CWCL club captains and managers are now invited to submit names of players they would like to be considered for the annual fixture where a League representative XI plays against the MCC. In previous years the MCC have fielded a number of former internationals, as well as current members of the England Academy squad, so any nominated players need to be of a good standard. All nominations must be from your regular squad for Sunday league matches, so please don’t nominate anyone who only plays the T20 competitions. Please check that the players are happy to be nominated and expect to be available to play an all-day match at Ashton-on-Mersey on Wednesday August 31. Please submit nominations by Monday July 25 at the latest.

Each club can nominate:
• Up to four players for the main League XI
• Up to two players as fielding reserves, who will definitely get time on the field during the match
• A scorer
