CHESHIRE WOMEN’S LEAGUE

Division One – July 10:

Appleton 94 (36; Emma Barlow 39, Kate Coppack 4-18, Sammi Short 2-8, Annette Axon 2-14) (4pts)
Chester Boughton Hall 95-1 (31; Lorna Starkey 48*, Coppack 29*) (25pts)

• A huge result for Chester as they maintained their 100% record, while all other teams in the division now have at least three defeats. Kate Coppack and Lorna Starkey were once again at the centre of an excellent performance by the Boughton Hall team. Chester need 65 more points from five matches to be sure of the title.

Didsbury 114-8 (40; Hannah Jones 61, Rachel Tidd 4-28, Natalie Lyons 2-12) (6pts)
Oakmere 115-2 (34.1; Lyons 47, Phoebe Cottam 39, Millie Frost 2-19) (25pts)

• Oakmere look to be putting a difficult period behind them as they made it back-to-back league wins. Despite Hannah Jones continuing her excellent season, Didsbury went down to a third successive league defeat.

Division Two – July 10:

Stockport Trinity 160-5 (40; Olivia Smith 42, Ellie Barker 28, Charlotte Peacock 22, Hattie Roberts 20) (25pts)
Oxton 69 (31.5; Lily Scudder 11, Emma Royle 2-1, Roberts 2-9, Gummi Panesar 2-9) (4pts)

• Emma Royle’s seven overs for one run led the way as Trinity went back to the top

T20 DIVISIONAL COMPETITION

Eastern Division – July 4:

Bredbury Saints 46-6 (10: Abigail Barlow 24*, Gaby McKeever 3-2)
Stockport Trinity Fire 47-3 (8.2; McKeever 15)
(Restricted to 10 overs per side)

• After so many matches have been cancelled due to rain in this division, this one could at least be completed at reduced overs. Trinity came through but did not have everything their own way, and were indebted to Gaby McKeever for her contributions..

July 7:

Didsbury 130-4 (20; Hannah Jones 28ret, Bhumika Doshi 27ret, Roshini Prince-Navaratnam 27ret, Andrea Wilkinson 2-24)
Ashton-on-Mersey 25 (15.4; Jones 3-4, Lauren Smith 2-7)

• A big win for Didsbury, who have assembled a very strong T20 squad
