The MCC team is expected to include a true women’s cricket legend in the shape of Claire Taylor, who made 170 appearances for England across all formats, scored almost 6,000 runs, was a World Cup winner 2009 and was named as a Wisden Cricketer of the Year. Several current and former England Academy players are also expected to feature, including Cheshire captain Jenny Dunn and Yorkshire’s Alex Macdonald.

The League XI has its fair share of big name players as well, with former international Laura Newton as captain and England Academy starlet Sophie Ecclestone also included.

There's free admission, and the bar will be open.
